I drove out and met Toni at the pasture where she keeps her horses, Amigo, Sierra, and Spirit. For her birthday, she was gifted a photo session with these three sweet “babies”. She had told me that Sierra and Amigo were like “1200 lb puppy dogs”, but that Spirit was a bit skittish. Her descriptions were most accurate, but I tell you, I really think Spirit enjoyed being a model! It was such a peaceful shoot – I got to play around with hazy sun-flare, Toni played with the horses, and Sierra ate the entire time 
Toni heads out to this pasture most every day. She said it’s a time to which she looks forward, where she can just be… We’re lucky to live in a place where you don’t have to go too far to find a little piece of “quiet” carved out of the everyday.
