What a great family to work with! This was our 2nd session together, so the girls (and Mom & Dad) knew what to expect …and they brought the pizzazz! We hit a few spots downtown and had some fun posing sessions with lots of great shots. Here are a few from the day.

We planned Julian’s session and we were literally watching the weather radar trying to jump on the perfect time to shoot between rain showers! After an “all systems go” phone call, we met and ended up capitalizing on the perfect day – and our location was complete with a few flowers that had survived the previous storm …and a mini waterfall (Julian’s FAV!). He enjoyed exploring the area before settling in on the waterfall – and there was no moving him after that . Here are a few from his session.

We had a wonderful, crisp morning for this session – these two little guys came all dressed up and ready to go! William and I did a bit of exploring and even found a nice slimy snail. We found him early on and it became a great concern/topic for William – he definitely would have the snail over me! Give Thomas a few more months and he’ll be on the prowl as well, but for our session he seemed to just enjoy the outdoor time. Here are a few from day.

As I wrote in my last post, we took full advantage of the one nice weekend in January. I spent Sunday afternoon with little Harlee for her downtown session. She was quite mesmerized with all the new sights and sounds. Mom, Dad, and I (and Elmo!) put forth our best efforts to be funny – but quite honestly, Harlee did not think we were very funny. But I believe any innocent bystander would have agreed we were doing a fine job . Here are a few from her session.

We actually met for this session before Christmas, but it never made the blog since the shoot was a surprise for Dad! It was a simple, black backdrop and they all rocked it – very classic! We also got some shots of the amazing Caroline, who not long ago completed an entire IRON MAN TRIATHLON! For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, it’s a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile run – consecutively… on the SAME day! I know – crazy! She’s awesome! Here are a few from the session.

It was one of those mornings that started off so nippy and cool, but quickly became perfectly warm once the sun made its climb. Keeping pace with the outside temperature, we started Will’s session inside and then took advantage of the beautiful day – but I have to say, once we took this little guy out, he lost complete interest in me and our photo shoot! It was all about the grass from then on. Here are a few from the day.

I was so thankful the weather cooperated for this family shoot – each of my fall sessions has luckily missed the rain! Miss Ava is yet another one of my small clients who treated herself to a dip in the water as a reward for putting up with the photographer! It didn’t take long for her to discover the pool (plus it was such a hot day!) Luckily it was toward the end of our session – I really need to start bringing snorkels and goggles! Can’t believe Miss Anna Kate is now 1 year old! I first met this sweetie at her newborn session and now she’s all grown up! She had just taken her first steps a few days before our session and I’m sure she’ll be up and running with big brother in no time (and keeping Mom & Dad on full alert ) We had a wonderfully peaceful session and as you’ll see, Anna Kate snacked the entire time!
